Ultraprobe 2000

The Ultraprobe® 2000 is an analogue ultrasonic inspection system with frequency adjustment for carrying out rapid and precise inspections.

Designed to be easy to use, it also enables data reporting through three modes: through auditory channels (via a headset that has been specifically selected for heavy duty industrial use); through a uniquely designed bi-modal analogue meter; and through the ability to interface with vibration analysers and sound recording devices via the heterodyned output.

It is used to:

  • Locate compressed air leaks
  • Inspect steam traps
  • Prevent mechanical failures
  • Inspect electrical installationss
Construction Hand-held pistol type made with coated aluminium and ABS plastic
Circuit components Heterodyne receiver with temperature compensation
Frequency response Detects ultrasonic frequencies between 20 kHz and 100 kHz, continuously variable Frequencies are converted to 50 kHz to 3 kHz audio
Probes Scanning module Trisonic plug-in type consisting of a phased array of multiple transducers for airborne ultrasound. This probe is shielded against RF interference. / Rubber Focusing Probe The probe slips over scanning module to concentrate conical directivity and to shield reception of stray ultrasound. Also fits over Stethoscope Module to shield against high ambient ultrasound when the unit is set at at maximum sensitivity. / Stethoscope Module Plug-in, insulated probe with RF shielding. 11.4 cm-long stainless steel probe tip, with conically shaped end for uniform surface contact. Stethoscope extension kit: 3 segmented metal rods to increase stethoscope contact range from 50.8 cm to 76.2 cm.
Intrinsic safety (Ultraprobe® 2000 ATEX) Standards: FM, CSA, ATEX / Gases involved: methane, propane, ethylene, acetylene, hydrogen.
Headset Noise isolating type: Double headset wired monophonic. / Impedance 16 ohms / Noise attenuation > 23 dB. Meets or exceeds ANSI specifications and OSHA standards.
Indicators Ballistic output meter; linear calibration scale of 0-100 for logging relative measurements. Meter is accurate 1% throughout the entire scale. Low level battery LED indicator.
Batteries Self contained NiMH rechargeable. / CHARGER : 110V standard. Also available in 220V.
